Shelley Wood is the Vice President, Talent and Organizational Development for Mariner Partners. Shelley is responsible for developing and implementing human resources strategies to support the business objectives of all Mariner companies including but not limited to employee engagement, training and development, and performance management. With more than 18 years of experience across a variety of industries including publishing, commercial printing, industrial manufacturing, retail, information technology and even the fitness industry, Shelley brings a unique and operations-focused perspective to the practice of human resources. She has held senior roles in sales management and operations, general management, market research, continuous improvement and human resources.
In addition to her role within Mariner Partners, Shelley also provides strategic consulting services to a variety of clients throughout Atlantic Canada. Shelley is an accomplished change management and continuous improvement leader and enjoys working with companies to identify opportunities to improve their business performance. She is an expert facilitator and dynamic course instructor and is passionate about unlocking the potential in individuals and organizations. She holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, a Bachelor of Commerce from Mount Allison University and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and PROSCI Change Management specialist.
