Tom Laird - Biography

As Vice President of Business Development IPTV, Tom will help grow and expand our IPTV consultancy, product focus and be an integral part of Mariner's growth strategy.

Tom is a respected veteran of the IPTV industry, known as an enthusiastic proponent of the business of delivering innovative, interactive services to the marketplace. Mr. Laird has an extensive background in the telecommunications sector, having served in a number of senior / executive management positions. Tom has held a number of Industry leading roles in sales, strategic business development, training and development, human resources, performance management, customer contact centres and management information services. He has participated in numerous national and international telecom industry steering committees for both government and industry interest groups.

Most recently Mr. Laird has been recognized for his key leadership roles within the IPTV industry for his successful implementation and execution of one of North America’s leading IPTV and interactive services deployment. Mr. Laird is often asked to participate and present at both National and International speaking engagements, on topics ranging from Internet Protocol TV, Organizational Transformation, Strategic Business Intent, Change Management, Focus on the Customer and Innovation. Tom is highly regarded for his accomplishments in developing and leading high performance teams and his commitment to exceptional Customer Service and Customer Advocacy.

Prior to IPTV, Tom was the President and Chief Executive Officer for a Canadian based International Communications Company, building a North American platform providing a full range of products and services to address onshore and offshore global telecom needs of businesses, including data networking, high-speed Internet, IP applications, long distance, card, International Carrier and local phone services.
